MYMENSINGH: Two students of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in university intersection area at Trishal of Mymensingh district Monday evening.

The deceased were identified as Mamun and Asif.

Trishal Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Moniruzzaman told banglanews that Mamun and Asif were riding on a motorcycle in the area.

During the time, a Mymensingh-bound passenger bus knocked the motorcycle in the area around 7:00pm, leaving the duo critically injured, he added.

Later, both succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital, OC Moniruzzaman added.
