RAJSHAHI: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained two media persons and another man on allegation of roaming a voting center at PN School in Putia municipality of Rajshahi early hours of Wednesday.

The detainees are identified as Sourab Habib, bureau chief of Dainik Samakal and ATN News, his cameraperson Robiul Islam and nephew Tariquzzaman.

Putia Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Hafijur Rahman told banglanews that the trio was detained for roaming a voting center at dawn, hours before voting begins for 234 municipal elections.

The detainees will produced before court on basis of BGB allegation brought against them.
