JAMALPUR: Rebel mayoral candidate of Awami League (AL) in Dewanganj municipal elections came under attack on Wednesday morning, leaving three injured by bullets.

The incident took place around 8:10am.

Besides, two cocktails were exploded at Dewanganj Girls High School vote center.

Voters are exercising their rights of franchise to elect mayor and councilors in the municipality amid fear of violence.
