Gazipur: One person was killed and 35 others were injured as a passenger bus fell into a roadside ditch near Tumulia Mission at Kaliganj in the district on Sunday evening, police said.

The deceased was identified as Anwar hossain, 35, hailed from Noapara.     

Nazrul Islam, Sub-Inspector of Kaliganj thana, told banglanews that a passenger bus skidded off Kaliganj-Tongi road into a ditch that left Anwar Hossain dead on the spot and 35 others injured.

"The injured were given primary treatment and they are out of danger," he added.
