Four killed in road mishap in Kushtia

KUSHTIA: At least four people were killed and 20 injured as a badly driven bus turned turtle on the roadside at Bheramara in Kushtia district Monday.

Two among the deceased were identified as Uzzal and Ashraf, the latter hailed from Amdaha in the district.

The injured were admitted to Kushtia General Hospital.

Police said the accident on Kushtia- Pragpur road happened in Mohishadora area at 1:00 pm as “the driver of the bus lost control”.

Condition of several among the injured was stated “critical”.

Hasan Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Daulatpur thana, told banglanews that police with the help of locals rescued the passengers from the bus after the accident.
