12 more BD pilgrims die in Saudi

MECCA: Some 12 more Bangladeshi pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia on Sunday and Monday.

The deceased were identified as AKM Anisur Rahman 70, passport number: E1064999, M Azimuddin Khan 54, passport number: AC8853723, Afsar Uddin 80, passport number: AF2997514, M Golam Sadek 59, passport number: AF4348640, Abul Kashem 59, passport number: AF4384235, M Mahbubur Rahman 63, passport number: AF0278653, Abdur Rahman 95, passport number: AF5361576, M Safar Ali 73, AF9054940, M Tota Mia 68, passport number: AF9428635, Abdul Kader 85, passport number: AF5125088, M Ansar Bepari 71, passport number: AF4254941 and M Mojaherul Islam 61, passport number: AE6577173.

Mecca Hajj Mission sources said that a total of 66 Bangladeshi pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia this year where around 173 pilgrims died last year.

Most of the people died due to cardiac arrest, road accident or old age complication till now.

Around 90,000 of Bangladeshi people performed hajj in Saudi Arabia this year.

Moreover, the return flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the pilgrims initiated and around 16614 pilgrims arrived till October 27.
