MOULVIBAZAR: Miscreants chopped an activist of Moulvibazar Gonojagoron Moncho indiscriminately in the city at around 9.00pm Thursday.

The injured was identified as Liton Deb Nath, 28, an activist of Moulvibazar Gonojagoron Moncho and former president of Moulvibazar College Chhatrafront.

Local sources said that a few miscreants attacked and chopped Liton indiscriminately at around 9.00pm as he was waiting in front of the Ahmed Mansion of the city, leaving injured critically.

Local people rushed him to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital from where he was shifted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Moulvibazar Model Thana M Azizur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
