DHAKA: A businessman was shot to dead by miscreants in capital’s Mirpur area on Saturday noon.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Jafrul Haque Mina, 55, a real estate businessman.

Rupnagar police station officer-in-Charge Md. Shamim Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Quoting witnesses, he said that some miscreants shot him at 12:00 noon, leaving him injured critically.

Later, he was rushed to Square Hospital in city’s Panthapath area and then shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead at around 2:30pm.
