BRAHMANBARIA: After a two hours halt, the train communications resumed on Dhaka-Chittagong and Chittagong-Sylhet routes on Monday evening.

Earlier, the communications was halted from 5:15pm as a compartment of a container train derailed in Kasba area of the district.

Akhaura Loco Shed In-Charge Mohsin Bhuiyan told banglanews that a compartment of a Chittagong-bound train derailed near Mondobagh rail station at Kasba halting the service.

Rail links resumed after a rescue drive by a relief train around 7.15pm and, he added.
