DHAKA: After arrest, popular singer Arfin Rumi was taken to court in a women and children oppression case filed by his wife Ananya.

Earlier, police arrested him early Saturday from his Mohammadpur residence.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Mohammadpur Thana Azizul Haq said that Rumi beat Ananya severely on Friday and later she filed a case against Rumi.
