BD youth team visits India Oct 21

DHAKA: A hundred-member Bangladesh youth delegation is set to visit India from October 21 to 28 as a part of Indian Government’s policy to strengthen people-to-people contacts and exchanges between the two countries.

The Government of India, the Indian High Commission to Dhaka and the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of India are jointly organizing the tour.

Earlier on October 6-13, 2012, the first hundred-member Bangladesh youth delegation visited India.
 
Members of the delegation are young men and women drawn from diverse institutions of Bangladesh and include doctors, engineers, management graduates, business people, entrepreneurs, journalists, musicians and students.
 
The youth delegation will visit the national capital New Delhi as well as Agra, Bengaluru and Mysore. They will see prominent cultural and historical sites in India apart from holding interactions in educational, business, IT and technological institutions of India.

They are also expected to call on the President of India Pranab Mukherjee.
 
The High Commission is set to organize a pre-departure interaction with the members of the delegation at 4:00pm October 20 at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre.

Shri Pankaj Saran, High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, will address the members of the delegation. Well known cricketer Shakib Al Hasan and film personality Jaya Ahsan will also be present.
