Global COVID-19 death toll tops 3.04m, caseload over 142m

The overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 142.73 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 3.04 million, according to data from the worldometer.

In its latest update on Tuesday (1pm Bangladesh Time), the data revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 142,733,066 and 3,043,955, respectively.

Worldwide Covid-19 deaths are rising once again, especially in Brazil and India. 

Besides, a total of 121,252,381 people recovered worldwide from the disease, according to data from the worldometer.

A total of 219 countries and territories and two international conveyances have been infected in the deadly disease.

In USA, 32,475,043 people have tested positive for the virus. Of them, 581,542 people have died and 25,043,463 people have recovered.

In Brazil, 13,977,713 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 375,049 patients have died and 12,460,712 recovered.

In Mexico, 2,306,910 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 212,466 died and 1,833,132 recovered from the disease.

In India, 15,321,089 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 180,550 people have died and 13,108,582 people have recovered.

In UK, 4,390,783 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 127,274 patients have died and 4,156,135 people have recovered.

In Italy, 3,878,994 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 117,243 people have died and 3,268,262 people have recovered. 

In Russia, 4,710,690 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 105,928 have died and 4,333,598 have recovered.

In France, 5,296,222 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 101,180 patients have died and 4,150,842 patients have recovered.

In Germany, 3,164,447 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 80,774 patients have died and 2,803,600 have recovered.

In Spain, 3,428,354 patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 77,102 have died and 3,144,353 patients have recovered. 

In Colombia, 2,667,136 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 68,748 people have died and 2,488,246 people have recovered.

In Iran, 2,261,435 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 67,130 patients have died and 1,797,319 patients have recovered. 

In Poland, 2,695,327 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 62,133 patients have died and 2,334,978 people have recovered.

In Argentina, 2,714,475 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 59,476 patients have died and 2,386,383 people have recovered.

In Peru, 1,707,787 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 57,537 have died and 1,636,286 have recovered.

In South Africa, 1,567,513 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 53,757 have died and 1,490,876 have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 723,221 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 10,497 people died and 621,300 patients have recovered.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
