Dhaka: Muggers stabbed to death a young man on Sunday night in city’s Nabinagar area under Khilgaon thana.

Police recovered the body of the victim, wearing jeans and green T-shirt.

Eyewitnesses said a gang of 3/4 bandits waylaid the youth on his way to Nabinagar from Sipaibag. “They stabbed him and snatched away his money and mobile-phone set,” says a spot account of the incident.

Locals rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

The operation officer of Khilgaon thana said they sent police force to the spot for investigation. A case was filed in this connection.
