COX’S BAZAR: Local administration imposed section 144 in the Bazar area of Pekua upazila of the district which will be active from 9.00pm Thursday to 6.00pm Friday.

Pekua Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mir Shawkat Hossain issued the order saying that all kinds of procession, meeting and rally are prohibited in the area in the time.

Officer-in-Charge of Pekua Thana Moin Uddin said that the local administration was forced to take the decision as local Awami League and BNP called for holding a rally at Pekua Bazar Ground on Friday afternoon.
