GAZIPUR: At least six people were killed and 15 others injured in a road accident in front of Bhawal National Park in Gazipur on Friday morning.

Three of the deceased were identified as Jamir Ali, 62 and bus driver Abul Kawsar, 25 of Gazipur and Arif, 25, hailed from Bogra.

Local sources said that a Dhaka-bound passenger bus collided head on with a truck in the area, leaving the casualties.

Sub-Inspector of Joydebpur Thana Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The injured were taken to Gazipur Sadar Hospital and eight of them were in critical condition.
