NARAYANGANJ: Two people were killed in a road accident in Madanpur area under Bandar upazila of the district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Jakir Hossain, 30 and Harun Mia, 28.

Police sources said that a rashly driven covered van rammed over the roadside shops when its driver lost control over the steering, leaving Jakir and Harun dead on the spot.

Police seized the covered van but the driver and helper managed to flee the scene.

Bandar Dhamgor Police outpost in-charge Sub-Inspector Mijanur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
