LONDON: British House of Lords member Baroness Pala Manzilla Uddin sternly opposed the condolence motion passed at Pakistan national assembly over execution of war crimes convict Quader Mollah.

The Bangladesh-origin British politician expressed her outrage in an interview with banglanews in London.

Baroness Pala Uddin told banglanews, “I am astonished with the news of Pakistan’s condolence resolution. Pakistan created an unprecedented incident by passing the resolution against the judicial system of a sovereign country (Bangladesh).”

According to the commonwealth rules, the British government should seek clarification from Pakistan for the interference in the internal affairs of another member country, said Baroness Uddin.

Baroness Pala said that she would place the issue in the session of House of Lords soon to seek British government’s responsibility in this regard.
 
Mentioning the apologize of British Prime Minister David Cameron to India for Jalianwala Bagh Massacre, Baronesses Uddin told banglanews, “Bangladesh won independence 42 years ago but Pakistan did not seek apology for their atrocities during in 1971.”

Passing resolution in Pakistan national assembly proved again that they could not accept Bangladesh keenly, she opined.

Baroness Pala Uddin also said that there is no alternative to apologize to bring stability in South Asian politics.

On the other hand, ICT Support Forum, a group consisting 73 organizations, declared protest program in front of Pakistan High Commission to London on Thursday afternoon (UK time) protesting the interference in the Bangladesh internal affairs.
