DHAKA: Activists of Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, torched a Jhut-laden van in capital’s Jatrabari area on Thursday, the third day of 72-hour barricade called by18-party alliance.

Witnesses said that some Shibir activists chased a van in front of Asma Ali petrol pump at around 11:15am. Later, pouring petrol they set fire to the van and fled the scene.

Jatrabari Thana police confirmed the matter to banglanews.
