LALMONIRHAT: A youth was killed in a triangular clash among BNP, Awami League and police in Dhorala Bridge area under Patgram Upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Nasir Hossain, 22, an activist of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD).

Patgram Upazila health Complex residential medical officer Pronab Kumar Das confirmed the death news of the youth.

The 60-hour nonstop countrywide hartal, enforced by the BNP-led 18-party alliance, is underway on Monday amid stray incidents of violence.
