Former Aviation and Tourism Minister and Lakshmipur-3 lawmaker AKM Shahjahan Kamal died at a hospital in the capital early today. He was 74.

He died on Saturday (September 30) around 3:19am while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital.

Advocate Nuruddin Chowdhury Nayan, general secretary of Laxmipur district Awami League, confirmed the death information.

The first namaz-e-janaza will be held at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Complex at 11:00 am and the second janaza will be held at the Lakshmipur Adarsha Samad Government High School ground.
