NOAKHALI: District BNP called half-day hartal for Tuesday in the district protesting arrest of two leaders.

BNP central committee joint secretary also district unit president Shahjahan confirmed the matter to banglanews on Monday evening.

He said, “The shutdown will continue from 6.00am to 2.00pm on Tuesday.”

Earlier in the day, police arrested district Swechhasebok Dal joint convener Abdul Karim Mukta and Subarnachar unit BNP vice president Khairul Alam Selim from Maijdy area of the town around 5.00pm.
