DHAKA: Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said the polls-time government is providing the maximum support to the Election Commission (EC) to hold the 10th National election in a fair, reliable and peaceful manner.

The foreign minister expressed incumbent government’s position to ambassadors and diplomatic heads of missions in Bangladesh at city’s state guest house ‘Padma’ on Tuesday noon.

The Foreign Minister particularly assured the envoys that the election-time government would leave no stone unturned to heighten and ensure full safety and security of the diplomatic missions in Bangladesh as well as foreign nationals living in Bangladesh during the period preceding the elections.

The envoys also thanked the election-time government and expressed their satisfaction for the additional security measures provided for the diplomatic zones in Gulshan and Baridhara.
