CHANDPUR: The half-day hartal, called by 18-party alliance, is underway in the district on Thursday.

The movement of all internal and long-route busses was halted but rail services remained normal.
    
No untoward incident was reported yet.

Earlier, 18-party called half day hartal for Thursday protesting the death of a Jubo Dal activist in a clash between blockaders and Bangladesh Border Guard on Wednesday night.
