DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also Awami League president, met with the President Abdul M Hamid for one and half an hour on Tuesday afternoon.

The meeting was held at Bangabhaban, the official residence of the President, at around 4:15pm and it continued till 5:50pm.

Press secretary to the President Ihsanul Karim said they discussed about the formation of the new government and methods to rescue the country from the prevailing political unrest.

Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam, Advisor to the Prime Minister Barrister Shafique Ahmed and AL Advisory Council member Amir Hossain Amu were among others present in the meeting.
