DHAKA: BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was released from Dhaka central jail on Thursday evening.

On Monday, the High Court granted a six-month bail to the BNP leader in four separate cases filed for arson, attacks and vandalism in the capital in November last year.

An HC bench comprising Justice Borhanuddin and Justice KM Kamrul Kader granted the bail in three cases while another bench comprising Justice Naima Haider and Justice Zafar Ahmed issued bail in one case.   

On November 30 last year, Rizvi was arrested from in front of party’s Naya Paltan office.
