COX’S BAZAR: The members of law enforcing agency arrested Abu Taher Chowdhury, the Ameer of Jammat-e-Islami, on Wednesday noon.

Detective Branch Police held him from Holiday Intersection of the town around 12:00 noon.

Confirming the matter, district detective branch officer-in-charge Manzur Alam said law enforcers nabbed Abu Taher Chowdhury as he was planning to create sabotage ahead of Thursday’s hartal.
