DHAKA: The Anti-Corruption Commission summoned Dhaka -14 constituency MP Akslamul Haque to query on the allegation of earning illegal wealth.
ACC on Wednesday has sent the notice to the address of the lawmaker asking him to appear before its head office on March 5.
ACC deputy director Mesbah Uddin is investigating into the corruption allegation against the ruling party MP.
Affidavit given by him before the ninth parliamentary election in 2008, said he and his wife Maksuda owned 4.19acres of land. They showed that the price of land was TK 20.69 lakhs.
Before the tenth national election, affidavit submitted by Aslam on December 1 said, he and his wife are now owned 145.67 acres of land. The price of land has been mentioned TK 1.92 crore.
Analysis showed that the land, owned by the MP and his wife, has increased to more than 140 acres. The veue of the land estimated is TK 1.72crore, which is incredible.
