Barrister Zaima Rahman, representing BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, held a meeting with Rebekah Wagner, a leading figure in the Women’s Fellowship Foundation, along with other members.
The meeting took place in Washington, D.C., on Friday, according to a post on the party’s official Facebook page.
Discussions spanned a wide range of issues, including Bangladesh-U.S. relations, international cooperation, and efforts to promote global peace and prosperity.
A day earlier, on Thursday, a three-member BNP delegation, including Zaima, attended the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington. Zaima, who earned her barrister qualification in the UK, participated in the prestigious annual event, which was hosted at the Washington Hilton following the election of U.S. President Donald Trump.
The BNP delegation also included Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury.
On Wednesday, they held discussions with Robert Destro, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, as well as former South Carolina Governor David Beasley.
Zaima Rahman traveled to Washington from London on Tuesday to represent her father BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, while Mirza Fakhrul and Amir Khosru arrived from Dhaka for the event.
