BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul expressed hope that India would promptly return ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Bangladesh so she could be brought to justice.

Speaking at a press briefing at the BNP chairperson's office in Gulshan on Thursday (Feb 13) afternoon, he said that Sheikh Hasina had been proven to be a fascist and accused her of ordering mass killings.

Referring to a report published by the United Nations Human Rights Commission, Mirza Fakhrul said, “They have correctly said that all the killings took place on the orders of one person—specifically, fascist Hasina.”

He further said, "It is now proven that Hasina is a fascist who has oppressed, tortured, and killed innocent people in this country. From here, we demand that the Indian government return her to Bangladesh so that she can be held accountable in a court of law."
