NCP begins journey with tribute to war martyrs at National Memorial

The newly formed National Citizens Party (NCP) has officially launched its political journey by paying tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar.

This marks the party’s first official program since its establishment.

Party leaders and activists gathered at the memorial around 8:00 AM on Tuesday (March 4) to honor the fallen heroes.

Later, at 10:00 AM, the NCP will participate in a prayer gathering at the Rayerbazar Martyrs' Memorial to commemorate the martyrs of the 2024 uprising.

The day’s events will conclude with an executive committee introduction meeting at the party’s central office at 3:00 PM.

NCP Convener Md. Nahid Islam, Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, and other central committee members are expected to attend all the programs.

The National Citizens Party officially launched on February 28 with a large rally at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka.

The party's partial convening committee, consisting of 217 members, was also approved.

Leaders have stated that the NCP aims to expand its organizational reach with a focus on four key priorities.
