A Dhaka court has ordered the arrest of seven individuals, including former Law Minister Anisul Huq and ex-Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, over killings during last year’s student protests.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Monirul Islam passed the order after police produced them before the court and pleaded for their arrest in the cases.

The accused also include former officials Kamal Ahmed Majumder, Atiqul Islam, Solaiman Salim, and journalists Shakil Ahmed and Farzana Rupa. They face charges in multiple murder cases filed at Jatrabari, Mirpur, and Lalbagh police stations.

Anisul, Shajahan, and Atiqul have been arrested, while the others were apprehended in recent months.
