DHAKA: The High Court rejected bail petition to BNP standing committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain on Sunday in a money-laundering case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission.
A HC division bench comprising Justice M Borhanuddin and Justice KM Kamrul Kader passed the order after bail hearing.
Barrister Moudud Ahmed moved the hearing for Mosharraf while deputy attorney general M Selim on behalf of the state.
Earlier on March 14 and 23, Mosharraf was also denied bail separately.
ACC officials nabbed Mosharraf from his Gulshan residence in the capital and handed over to police in connection with the case filed by ACC Director Nasim Anwar on February 6.
According to the case, Mosharraf laundered some Tk 9.53-crore to the UK when he was the Health and Family Welfare Minister during the 2001-2006 tenure of the BNP-led government.
