A Dhaka court today rejected a plea filed by former minister Asaduzzaman Noor in a case lodged by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) over allegations of amassing illegal wealth.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Sabbir Faiz passed the order after Noor’s lawyer moved the plea before the court.
According to the case details, the former minister allegedly accumulated illegal wealth worth Tk 5.37 crore and kept it under his possession. The ACC also detected suspicious transactions totaling Tk 158.78 crore across 19 of his bank accounts.
ACC Deputy Director Md Azizul Haque filed the case against Noor on July 30, 2025.
