DHAKA: Former President Badruddoza Chowdhury, also president of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh, asked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to start a new journey towards democracy seeking apology to the countrymen.
The senior politician of the country came up with the plea while addressing a rally organized by Jatiyatabadi Karmajibi Kalyan Parishad at the National Press Club auditorium on Tuesday noon.
“How will you run the country with thieves and corrupts people?”
B Chowdhury put question.
He added: “I am warning you as a senior politician of the country. I ask you to free democracy for all from your confinement and observe what people want.”
The former President also termed the Election Commission (EC) as partial and incompetent for holding free and fair elections.
He also urged BNP and other nationalists to hold movements against incumbent Awami League government unitedly.
