BOGRA: Law enforcers held 132 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami raiding different upazilas of the district on charge of vandalism, arson attacks and carrying out subversive activities.
A special team of police raided in several places of the district and held 132 Jamaat men between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
Police sources said that the Jamaat-Shibir men were wanted in the cases for vandalism, arson attacks and creating violence in the area.
During the drive, police also arrested an illegal goods’ dealer and seized Indian medicine and garment items worth Tk 2 lakhs.
Assistant Superintendent of Police of Bogra Gaziur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
