DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the government will establish Hi-Tech Park in every districts followed by every divisions.
She came up with this view while addressing the inaugural of ‘Digital World 2014’, a four-day expo on information technology, began in the city on Wednesday morning.
The premier said there, “We have established Bangladesh High Tech Park authorities to set up Hi-tech parks across the country along with the creation of Software Technology Park and ICT incubator project.”
At that time she informed that Hi-Tech Parks projects are going on in Gazipur, Jessore, Sylhet and Rajshahi.
Mentioning Digital Bangladesh refers to an e-state where all its activities of governance, commerce, education, agriculture etc will be powered by computer and internet, Sheikh Hasina said that her government emphasized in on union information centers, telecommunication sector, outsourcing along with software and ICT business.
In her speech, she told that people will no more have to stand in queue to collect tickets, results etc or to deposit and withdraw money or to buy and sell things.
She also uphold there forming of a digital society, which will ensure an ICT-run knowledge-based society, where information will be available online and where all possible tasks of the government, semi-government and also private spheres will be processed using the modern technology.
In this regard, Prime Minister expected that the youth will be introduced with new innovations and citizen benefits over visiting the Digital World expo.
