DHAKA: British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Robert W Gibson on Thursday said the political parties of Bangladesh would have to come out from the circle of polls-violence after every five years.
The British diplomat came up with the remarks at a view exchange meeting organized by the Diplomatic Correspondents’ Association of Bangladesh (DICAB) at the VIP Lounge of National Press Club in the city.
Gibson also said he political parties of Bangladesh would have to strengthen the democracy altogether.
He further added the parties would have to come out from the circle of political violence centering national election after every five years.
DICAB president Mainul Alam, general secretary Anggur Nahar Monti and other journalists presented at the meeting.
