DHAKA: State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Monday categorically said that Nur Hossain, main accused in sensational Narayanganj 7 murder, will be brought back soon.
He came up with the assertion while talking to journalists at his secretariat office in city on Sunday.
The minister said that the government has taken initiatives to bring back Nur Hossain, who was arrested in Kolkata on Saturday night, to home from India.
Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal also said that according to the treaty on extradition between Bangladesh and India, Nur Hossain will be brought back immediately.
Earlier on Saturday night, Nur Hossain, main accused in sensational Narayanganj 7 murder, detained from Kolkata along with his five aides.
Sources said that during a special drive a team of Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Kolkata police led by ACP Animesh Sarkar arrested them around 9:30pm from near Suvash Chandra Airport of Kolkata.
Dum Dum police station confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Meanwhile, a loaded revolver, ten Indian mobile phones, SIM cards, a laptop, pen drive, CD and important papers were seized from his possession.
Later, the detainees were sent to Baguihati Thana.
