DHAKA: Miscreants torched a bus in Nadda Bus stand area of the city on Monday.

Witnesses said the Tongi-bound bus from Jatrabari was set afire presumably by blockaders in the area around 11:15am.

However, none was reportedly injured as the passengers get down from the bus immediate after the attack.

Being informed, the fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

Officer-in-charge (OC) Golam Sarwar Alam of Vatara thana said security measures have been boosted up in the area.

They were looking into the matter and trying to nab the culprits, the OC added.
