DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Monday placed BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Shamsuzzaman Dudu on a five-day remand in a case filed under the Special Powers Act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Aminul Islam passed the order when Mirpur Thana Police produced him before the court with a 10-day remand plea.

Earlier on Sunday, the law enforcers held Dudu from city’s Mirpur area around 9:00pm.
