DHAKA: Four leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, including its Airport Thana Jamaat Ameer Mohammad Enamul Haque, were detained on Sunday evening.

Police sources said that, acting on a tip off, police conducted a special drive in the area and held them in the evening.

Eight petrol bombs were also recovered from Enamul’s house.

On the other hand, the law enforcers also held two leaders of Chhatra Dal central committee in different drives in the city.

DMP Media Center Deputy Police Commissioner Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
