DHAKA: Eminent singer Baby Nazneen was freed around an hour after her detention near from BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan political office.

Confirming the matter to banglanews Gulshan Thana police said that Baby Nazneen was freed around 8:30pm and she went to her residence.

Law enforcers detained eminent singer Baby Nazneen on Sunday evening when she visited BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office in the city.

Police barred Nazneen from entering the office around 7:15pm, said a competent source from the BNP chief office.

Baby Nazneen tried to enter the office, but the law enforcers picked her up and took her to Gulshan Police Station by a microbus.

Nazneen told police: “She (Khaleda) is my mother. I have come to know from media reports that she is starving. So, I have prepared soup for her by myself. Please allow me to visit her.”
