DHAKA: Law enforcers detained six BNP leaders, including two former female members of the parliament (reserved), from in front of Gulshan political office of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Thursday noon.

The detainees are Syeda Nargis Ali and Laila Begum, Dhaka City Mohila Dal leaders Nilufer Yeasmin Nilu, Rokeya Sultana Tamanna, Shirin Akhter and Jharna Khan.

Nargis Ali told banglanews that police nabbed them near to BNP chief’s Gulshan political office around 2:00pm while they were trying to enter the office with some dry foods.

Gulshan Zone Assistant Commissioner Nurul Alam also confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The detainees were taken to Gulshan Police Station, he added.
