NARAYANGANJ: A passenger bus was torched at Golachipa intersection in the district town on Saturday evening.

No one was reportedly injured in this incident as the passengers managed to get down from the bus instantly after the incident.

The bus helper Bhutto Mia told banglanews that, a gang of miscreants vandalized and set fire to the Dhaka bound passenger bus, Ananda Paribahan, in the area around 5:45pm.

On information, a unit of fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.

However, the bus was almost gutted before the presence of the fire fighting unit.

Police could not nab anyone in this connection as the arsonists fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Narayanganj Sadar Model Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Manjur Qader confirmed the matter to banglanews.
