PANCHAGARH: Two parked buses were set afire by miscreants in Mithapukur area on Panchagarh-Tentulia highway early Monday.

Meanwhile, miscreants set fire to Awami League office in Jogdal Bazaar and Tunirhat under Sadar upazila between 4:00am and 5:00am.

Panchagarh Fire Service Warehouse Inspector Abdul Malek told banglanews that hartal and blockade supporters torched two buses by pouring petrol and fled the scene.

On information, a fire fighting unit rushed to the spot and doused the fire while a patrol team of Ansar brought the blaze of the Awami League office under control and another fire was doused by locals.

Two Ansar men sustain minor injuries during attempt to douse the fire.

Panchgarh Sadar thana officer-in charge (investigation) Mafizul Gani confirmed the matter to banglanews.
