SYLHET: Miscreants set fire to a covered van of beverage food manufacturing company Banoful and Company Limited by hurling petrol bomb in Jatarpur Residential Area of Mirabazar in the city Monday night.

Witnesses said that goods were being unloaded from the covered van (Chittagong Metro Dha 11-2317) vehicles. A group of youths riding three motorcycles came there around 11:00pm, hurled petrol bomb at the vehicle and left the place.

On information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the flame.

Sylhet Metropolitan Police assistant commissioner (Kotwali zone) Sazzadul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

No casualty and detention were reported.
