PABNA: Former Member of Parliament of Pabna-5 constituency Amzad Hossain passed away at Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogra on Sunday.

He was 84.

The freedom fighter breathed his last at the hospital around 6:00am due to old-age complications.

The former lawmaker left his wife, a son and two daughters, a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.

He will be buried at Arifpur Sadar Graveyard following Namaz-e-Janaza at Pabna Technical School and College ground at 5 pm, family sources said.

Amzad Hossain was elected MP of Pabna-5 constituency in 1973 under the banner of Awami League.
