DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia reiterated the demand of her party’s joint-secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed’s return to his family or producing him to the court.
A statement, sent by BNP chairperson’s press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel, asserted the demand on Sunday.
In the statement, BNP chief said that she along with Salahuddin’s family, well-wishers, colleagues as well as the nation is worried as twelve days have been passed after the BNP leader’s missing. Showing their identities of law enforcers, a group of people picked up Salahuddin, but he is neither released nor produced before the court. Even, his arrest is not admitted.
Mentioning the other BNP leaders including M Elias Ali, Saiful Islam Hiru, Chowdhury Alam and Humayun Kabir Parvez, who had been ‘missing’ for a long, Khaleda Zia blamed that the government is trying to hold power by using law enforcers.
