Jamaat leader held in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT: Police detained Joypurhat town unit Jamaat-e-Islami secretary from Komorgram area of Sadar upazila of the district early Monday.

The detainee is Abdul Kaiyum, 50, hails from Khetlal Upazila of the district.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Joypurhat Sadar Thana Khairul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the Jamaat leader has been kept at the thana custody and he will be produced before the court on Monday.
