CHITTAGONG: Police, in overnight drives, rounded up 24 activists of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Chhatra Shibir from Sitakunda, Satkania and Lohagara Upazilas.

District Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) confirmed the matter to banglanews on Monday morning.

Among the detainees, two are BNP activists, 16 Shibir men and Six Jamaat-e-Islami activists.

The law enforcers detained the BNP-Jamaat men for alleged connection in sabotages in the areas, he added.
